Hi! I’m Abby. I live in the center of a creative x analytical Venn diagram.

After graduating with a degree in neuroscience and psychology from Yale University, I went to culinary school in New York to act on my love of food. After a stint working in restaurants, I started working at Tasting Table to pursue my interest in food media (instilled in me by a dream-like internship at America’s Test Kitchen in college!).

During my time at Tasting Table, including two years spent as editorial director, I honed my writing, editing, and recipe development skills. I also became an effective people manager, learned the art of SEO, and found new interest in using analytical insights to drive content creation.

I am also a graduate of the UC Berkeley Extension indexing course, one of the leading courses in the country for the profession. Indexing can be a daunting task - and I’m here to help take it off your plate.

My #1 goal in life is to create useful and smart content that will add value and joy to people. My #2 goal is to never go a day without eating a sweet potato or doing a crossword puzzle.
